HOTEL S’ORTALE OROSEI + EXPERT LOCAL GUIDE
One of the most beautiful beaches in the gulf, Bidderosa is a 10 minutes drive from Hotel S’ortale. It is a naturalistic oasis managed by the Sardinia Forestry Authority, with an extension of about 500 hectares and comprising 2 km of lovely beaches. Inside the oasis it is possible to admire the ponds of Biderosa and “Sa Curcurica,” populated by flamingos almost all year round.
From the summit of “Monte Urcatu,” accessible via a short nature trail, a splendid panorama opens up allowing you to admire the Gulf of Orosei and its landscape features.
The path immediately enters the nature reserve crossing the pine forest where granite rock alternates with shrubs of the Mediterranean scrub. The path continues up to a small raised pass in the locality of “Janna Ventosa,” where there are some wonderful holm oaks and beautiful centuries-old specimens of juniper. The view sweeps over the hills below and the sea of the Gulf of Orosei.
